Morisset is situated on the
south western end of Lake Macquarie and bounded by the scenic and beautiful
Watagan Mountains in the west. The area is served by the main
northern railway line and the F2 freeway about 100km from Sydney and 55kms from Newcastle.
The town of Morisset was named
after Captain James Morisset (1780 - 1852) who was appointed to the Newcastle
District in 1818 as Commandant of the 48th Regiment.
Ninety minutes north of
Sydney is where you will discover the natural beauty of Lake
Macquarie
There are long sun drenched golden surfing beaches, a vast blue saltwater lake,
four times the size of Sydney Harbour and beautiful green majestic mountain backdrop.
